So it seems all my peeps are rolling over their 3rd decade this year. Its crazy because when I was 15...30 seemed soooo far away. Hell by 30 I figure I'd be retired and traveling the world aimlessly. Oh well there is always next decade to dream, or 30th isnt until early 07 so we have a few more months basking in 20something. Check out the Birthday celebration and party with us.

I spent the better half of this evening trying to understand Solaris 10's Service Management Facility (SMF)...better yet, to figure out how I can get away from using legacy files in my rc*.d. Since SunONE DS 5.2 already ship with start/stop scripts for both Admin and Directory server, half our job is already done, we just need to import those scripts into SMF.
